At a party looks some one spilled a blob of pink zinc sunscreen and it has been walked all over the carpet so there are many many spots.

White vinegar works miracles with stains. I use it to take the dog's bathroom mistakes off of my carpet. Spray a decent amount on stains (enough for the carpet to be wet), rub in with a scrub pad, rinse if possible, and vacuum. If this does not work, you can try baking soda and peroxide, but I do not have as much success with that as the vinegar.

well i dont know what color carpet u hv but using any sod or peroxide may leave white spots if carpet is not white. there is a product that carpet people use calledred reliefpro's choice that removes redish and pinkish colores this might help but remember always spot check first
