postfix (if you're using linux).

From the other responses it seems you're looking for a web-based e-mail service, so I'd recommend based on what you need:

gmail.com - fast, reliable service with an excellent searching capability and spam filtering. best if you plan on getting any spam (giving out your e-mail address to more than 5 people). the interface DOES take getting used to, but once you do it's worth it in my opinion. gmail is also the only service that provides FREE pop3 service. (e.g. for outlook express or any other pop3 client)

mail.yahoo.com - fast, reliable, okay search and spam filtering. yahoo messenger integration, and easy to remember domain.

hotmail.com - domain. popularity. msn messenger integration.

http://www.mailenable.com has a pretty good one. I must warn you though that if you are planning on running a mail server, you have a bit of learning to get it configured to work properly. The documentation for mail enable is 51 pages long and gets into a lot of detail. I was browsing http://www.sourceforge.net today, and they have some that are a bit less confusing, though you will still need to learn the basics to make any of them work. Hope this helps and Happy New Year

I have been using hotmail for years now, I feel it is very convenient. Yahoo as well as gmail are also good!! I just like the layout of hotmail and in 7 years of their service I have experience that there server be busy only a few times.

YAHOO, DEFINITELY FOR MY USAGE. I DO A PRAYER LETTER FREQUENTLY AND HAVE NEARLY 300 NAMES IN MY ADDRESS BOOK AND WITH FREE YAHOO I CAN SEND THEM ALL IN ONE EVENING. THERES AN HOURLY LIMIT BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A FREE SERVICE. YOU,VE GOT SPELL CHECK, FONTS, SIZE, COLOR OPTIONS ETC. ESPECIALLY THE SPAM FILTER. A FULL GIG OF STORAGE SPACE IS NICE ALSO. PLUS YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR MAIL FROM ANYWHERE, UNLIKE SOME OF THE OTHERS. NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT I SHOULD GET A CHECK FROM YAHOO FOR ALL THE ADVERTISING I DO FOR THEM.

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:33

GOD BLESS

Either yahoo or hotmail. Yahoo has a lot of extras but Hotmail has much to be recommended. Beside, Bill Gates is a national treasure. Like the Marines say. "This is my rifle, this is my gun, this one's for killing, this one's for fun." Yahoo is for fun.
