I just had to replace my computer's power supply and wasn't sure if I can just toss the old one in the trash or if there is a better method to discard it. Any help is appreciated.

It really depends on where you live. In California, there are laws against dumping any computing equipment into the trash. My best advice would be to find a neighborhood hazardous household roundup. I'll give you the one for Los Angeles County as a reference. Hope this helps.

If you can call like best buy or another store that sells computers and ask them if they have information or if you could drop it off there. I know they take used cell and laptop batteries.
