My cousin is coming over to help me with the speed of my computer... but there are some places on here that I don't want him to see. (He has no respect for personal stuff). But I need to delete some of the things that are in the browser when I go on the enternet! So please help me! I have already tried highlighting them and pressing delete but it doesn't work! It is really important that I get rid of some!

Sounds like you want to clear your history.

From IE
Tools
Internet Options
Delete Cookies
Delete Files (offline)
Clear History
Set days to store pages in history to 0

You might want to think about not visiting places you are not proud of. Just a thought.

If you dont have windows xp home or pro then you will have to do a reboot of your whole system to get rid of some of them like on yahoo and so on if you do have windows xp when you can go tools in a open window and at the very top of tools it will say delete browsing history you will have to delete all sections that it shows to get rid of all typed stuff it is the only way hope that helps!

If you have Mozilla Firefox, go to Tools-Clear Private Data. If you have IE 6 or IE 7, go to tools, and click delete browsing history.

Hope that helps!

have you tried clearing your browser history yet, you dont say if you have or not, so i will take it you have not. click start, then right click on internet explorer, then click delete history, delete temporary files, delete cookies.

what is he going to do to your pc anyway that you cannot do yourself to speed it up, click start, all progs, accessaries, system tools, disk cleanup, put ticks in all boxes when it appears, then click ok to cleanup rubbish left behind.

Then repeat process up to system tools, then disk fragmenter, click to defrag let it run till finished. should speed it up more than what it is now ok.

As for any files you dont want him to see just right click the folder they are in ,click properties, put a tick in hidden, and apply.

When he has gone just go to say My Documents, tools, folder options, view, then put dot in show hidden files and folders, apply or ok, go to where you usuallyhave the files right click on file, properties, take out tick from hidden.

hope that helps ya lol
