We took ours down today. I live in IL, and the ComEd rate hikes on our energy bill will go into effect tomorrow AM, so we took 'em down to save money. Plus, it's been in the 40's & 50's up here, so why wait until it's -20 and freezing??

We have a family superstition that it is bad luck to let your Christmas decorations see the new year. So, all of mine came down on Saturday.
I don't really believe it, but it keeps me from being lazy about putting it all away.

I already did and put them all back in storage. Of course it's always easier when it's 85 degrees outside! Never again will I put them on my roof...that year I waited til March to take them down...it's scary up there!

They're down. Next year I'm using different tape (I put them on the balcony of my apartment and tape them to the railing). It was a mess getting them off this year!

OK - go ahead and it will help make up for the fact that I forgot to put any up. I guess there is always next year.
