hi i want to learn to become an above average dancer...not like ballroom but like night club/social dancing...are there any good videos i could buy or any good instructional sites

Way to go! We need more men on the dancefloor. So, I'm a girl and not at all an expert but I hope I can give you a few pointers.

My ex taught himself to dance (and he was freaking awesome) watching videos and practicing over and over and over. I suggest getting videos or dvds of the music you really love and using those as intrucitonal videos.

I've also seen some "learn to hip hop" dvds on tv but I can't remember any specific ones. There was this famous young choreographer who did a dance competition/series (sorry I can't remember his name or specifics) but you could get the series dvds and use those.

Also, there are schools that teach club/hip hop in addition to ballroom, so you could look them up in a local directory.

Some tips: relax, get into the music and just move. Learn different styles (there's nothing worse than someone who has one move and uses it for everything from rock to reggaeton!)

Finally, find a hot latina partner for some inspiration (sorry I'm taken ;-)

I hope you're into popping, locking, and Michael Jackson style dancing. The site www.secrets-of-moonwalk.com is a French site that taught me from the ground up. I went to that site about 8 or 9 months ago, and look at me now:

So go to that site, enter, click on Cours, and start watching the videos. You may not be able to understand the teacher, but just watch and mimic.

u could go to youtube.com there is a guy called khaoskhris06...i think that has some videos that might help...i wathced following that videos for days n he got gd at dancing
