I just watched "What the Lord Made" about a black man who changed medicine by pioneering heart surgery even though he was too poor to become a doctor.

Has anyone seen another great "true story" movie or documentary that you could highly recommend?

"Malcolm X" starring Denzel (just one name say it all, doesn't it!). Easily his best and underrated performance. He should have won an Oscar for this film, instead of "Training Day".

Patch Adams (the Robin Williams version)...It's probably a little fictional, but most of it is true. Oh and it's a movie about a doctor...It's probably the highest rated movie for that genre.

Saving private Ryan.
I think that was based on a true story - it was good anyhow.
