How does Pictochat work.
What do you have to do to get it to work?

all you need is the DS - you do not need any additional parts
when you turn the DS on, if it goes straight to a game, then turn the power off, take out the game[s] and then turn the power on.
it will now have a screen that has some gray boxes in the middle of the screen. the top will say something about DS chip, the bottom one will say something about GBA chip, but the one you want is in the middle.
it says picto chat.
when you push that, you'll see an option for four rooms. you'll also see if anyone is in one of those rooms. go into a room, and there you go.
to communicate with someone else, they have to be less than 10 meters, or around 35 feet away. yes, you need to be that close.
then when you push the letters or draw pictures, you can send them with the A button i think, or push the button on the screen that sends

Dont worry you're picto chat is working. Just draw stuff with the stylus and send it. You may think nobody is replying well dont worry. Nobody does reply. The wireless radar isnt far enough. Get one of your friends with pictochat to bring there DS round and they can stand at the other end of the room so you can get used it. And also realise how short the distance it can travel is.

it does work but u need to be less in 10 metres away from someone else with a nintendo ds and get them to use the pictochat as well

With picto chat you can only talk to someone with another ds and the range is like 30ft or so, there are a couple of games where you can talk over the internet, final fantasy 3 is the only one i know of personally

you need to be near somebody else that has a DS and is using chat aswell. My kids use it all the time !!!

you click the penicil icon if you want to draw, and you can click the keyboard if you want to type and you can send the message you created to someones DS close by
