Likely plenty of them, although I'm not sure why you'd need to tell your story. There are millions of these stories, and there'd be millions more if every woman who suffered domestic abuse needed to tell it. My question is ... why do you think you need to? What good does it do anyone, what good does it do you? If it's simply a need to share a painful experience, you should be sharing it with those people who care about you, those who can personally empathize with you ... not with a bunch of strangers who'll read it and not give a rats .. you know.

My educated guess, as a survivor myself and as a victims counselor, would be that you're still dealing with the after effects and haven't resolved your issues yet, coming out of that relationship. In which case, I'd suggest you seek a support group, in real time, NOT the internet, and tell your story there, to other survivors who may need to hear it and who could garner some use of it. Also, it helps you get past the issue by being surrounded by those who've lived what you have, and worse.

But it can do you, nor the readers, any good by posting it online.

I'm not sure about it. But it might be a great idea if you told it on this site. Atleast you know there are millions of people on this site each day and if it only reached one person- you reached your goal!

Congrats for surviving and willing to share your story. I've been there too. Goodluck with everyting x x x
