Well, when you go on the Sims you press the blue circle thing on the bottom and then press the house like button. Place it some where and then move your family to a cheap house. Type SHIFT CTRL C and motherlode. go back to nebihorhood** (bad spelling) and press move family out. then move them to the house you want. Hope that helped!

The best way to download a house takes a lot of time registering your games. First, you have to go to http://www.thesims2.com and create an account, then register your game and expansion packs (go to the start menu>all programs>EA Games>The Sims 2 (and also the expansions)>Electronic Registration). Once registered, you can go to http://www.thesims2.com website again and download houses by going to Exchange and then lots, which can be found at the top of the main page.

or you can search for one
but usually there are some fairly large houses with lots of bedrooms...
so basically ....listen to the first answer
