3.4ghz dual core with 1-2GB ram and a good 256 or 512MB graphics card and a large hard drive180-250GB. it will cost quite a bit to get a PC to play like a 360 if you do it should look and play better

simple answer none. The xbox 360 is just for playing games u cant run windows on it,you can play over the internet with games. You also can play dvd's and cd's on 360.
A pc is a for more general usage. You can surf the net on a pc but you cant on a Xbox 360. The video card for example on a 360 is only designed for a 360.

PCs can play HD video, games are just as good (and cheaper!), controllers are available. Virtually anything a 360 can do a PC can also! Plus they can do a lot of other stuff too and can be added to and upgraded ad-nauseum.
However, and there is always a however otherwise the 360 wouldnt exist would it?, try finding a PC of the same price and gaming ability that sits well under your TV?
