If married in Canada you need a Canadian license. If married in USA you need a license from the state where you will be married. Quick and no hassle - try Las Vegas.

You need the license to be valid in the jurisdiction of the ceremony. A Canadian license would hold no legal merit outside of Canada.

Check with your license department. A marriage performed in another country my not be valid in the USA with out proper licensing.
