Can anyone clear this up for me. When having intercourse, I have taken advise from you all on this site and kept legs in air, stayed in bed for 30 mins etc. However.. No matter how long I keep my legs in the air, as soon as I get up, it seems that semen sort of "runs south" sorry to be graphic. Is this normal. or do I need to lie for hours???? Hope you dont think I am paranoid. Any help will be appreciated. xx

Nope, you are doing just as it should be done. I have always had problems with UTI's so I ALWAYS pee after intercourse. When hubby and I were trying....I would do almost identical to you...

1) Have sex (female orgasm is a good thing to get pregnant).
2) Sit on the bed with pillows under my hips for 20-30 min.
3) Run to the bathroom and pee.

Some of the semen does come out, but obviously it still works...I got preg the first month we tried. Best of luck!

Some will come out, but you need to keep your butt propped and tilted up not your legs forat least 39 minutes. Most of the stuff coming out is not actual sperm but the protein like fluid that helps it to swim up towards the cervix. Relax, nothing to worry about.
