No.. I was born in Northern Cali and then moved to North Carolina when I was 9 because of my dad's job. Now that my dad has retired the whole fam has moved to Oregon.. cheaper than Bay Area, but same kinda relaxed feel. Living in one of the most liberal areas of the country and then one of the most conservative really have me a balanced view of things and even though I hated the south when i first moved there, I have come to appreciate it much more. But the west coast is more my style.

I've been all over the states and come back to live here. I don't really have any one state that I was raised in but I do like variety.

Yes, my immediate family has moved around a few times within the state but we never moved out New York... I was born in the city, grew up in the suburbs and came back to the city a few years ago. It's probably because my dad's side of the family resides in this state and my parents don't want to deal with the "unfamiliar."

Nope, I was born and raised in Indiana. I married my husband who is also from Indiana. His grandfather, who raised him, is from Tennessee but back in the 50's there wasn't any work in Tennessee so a lot of people went north to find work. That is where he met his wife and raised his family. When he retired he moved to Tennessee. After my husband and I had all of the children we wanted to have.. he talked me into moving to Tennessee. I LOVE IT HERE. We have no family here except he has second cousins and so on. I do miss my family sometimes because they all live in Indiana but I love Tennessee. You hear people talk about southern hospitality.. you don't know its true until you have seen it first hand. And they do have true southern hospitality in Tennessee.

Born and raised in Cal. and I live within 75 miles of where I was born. I can't imagine any advantages of any other state that would cause me to move.

No, I don't live in the state where I was born and raised. I didn't want to live anywhere near my dysfunctional family.

Hey people, this is a great question and you're giving great answers, even if you have moved from your native states. I confirmed again that Anericans are wonderful people, great patriots. I love you so much. Giving to many of you today by point and of course to Asker too. I am not an American, but America rocks my life. Love all of you. God bless you!

No. I was born in D.C. but moved to Georgia when I was 6 because of my dad's job. Been here ever since although I'm chomping at the bit to get out!
