my mp3 wont turn on what should I do?

my sandisk sansa lights up and says sansa m240 and thats it what should I do?

I have the same MP3 player and mine is doing the same thing my advise is to return it where purchased and get another one. That's what I am going to do.

Is the lock on? Should be on the bottom of the player, try switching it to the other side, and see what happens.

Change the batterys.
