Brother MFC-5440CN
This is a printer, copier, fax, and scanner. It has an auto document feeder that can handle up to 35 pages, can scan legal size paper, and is network ready.
Plus, it has seperate color cartridges that cost about $10 each, instead of $40 ones that Lexmark uses. Plus you can buy generic cartridges for about $3 each!
This machine costs about $100. I've had mine for about a year and I love it.

The best printers I have found so far have been Epsons. They are relatively inexpensive and they do great printing jobs. They are also less expensive when it comes to ink cartridges. I found with Lexmarks that you can only use Lexmark cartridges. With Epson, you can get generic ones that are better then the OEMs for alot less.
I have a C-86 and it has 4 individual cartridges so that if you run out of red, you just put in a new red cartridge...they run less then $3.00 for a generic cartridge.

Most lexmark I use is more expensive in ink and maintenance rather than HP plus it doesn't print in colors well. I am using HP PSC All In One now and it prints multitask so much better plus 24/7 technical support chat online. It helps to have this printer since it hardly gives me trouble so I can keep doing my full time job and take care of my home business better. Good luck.

The HP All in One is one of the better printers. Scan, copy print, fax. The cartridges can be refilled, so I usually spend about $15 to fill. Take a look at these:

If the cartridge cost is driving you, take a look at the following site.
My Epson cartirdges cost $28 for black, and $26 for three color. Same price at Staples.
I use these brand new cartrideges and a pair only cost me $3.50 I have been using them for years in my 3 Epson printers with no headaches at all. Have recommended this site to many folks and no complaints yet. They are merely 2nd source manufacturers that don't produce the product with the printer manufacturers name on the packages.
Give 'em a shot.

Hope this helps.
