I always use an electronic dictionary for spelling and the printed one for definitions. You would think that someone would come out with a spelling dictionary arranged by the way a word sounds. If you wanted to know how to spell photograph you would look up fotograf.

You can try looking for the word as you think it might be spelled. And yes, you spelled technology right. See, you didn't even need to see it in a dictionary.

Yes, you spelled it right. Technology.

Oh, and the dictionary isn`t really any help unless you know how to spell a word. Dictionaries are to tell you the definition of something.

You can always guess and check in the dictionary, but that could take hours if you have no idea about the spelling. Yeah, you spelled it right.

a dictionary isn't just used to learn how to spell words you don't know how to spell, its also used to find the meaning of the word
to find a word i don't know i just try to spell it the way it sounds

Of course you spelled it correctly.
Can you use it in a sentence for us?

Dictionaries are good for smashing flowers flat.
Sometimes you find a totally hilarious word that you just have to use.

UGH I hated it in elementry school going up to the teacher and asking her how to spell a word and she'd say "look it up in the dictionary" and I'd think "you f-ing douche, how the hell am I going to look it up if I can't find it cause I don't know how to spell it?!" some people are just so retarded.

That's a good point. When I hit spell check on here, they make me spell everything in a Canadian way (since I am on Yahoo Canada). So even if I want to type color, they correct me to type colour. Weird huh? Kind of off topic too. Sorry.

The abbreviation for Christ is Xt, subsequently Xtian. verify any respected dictionary--that is going to conform that "Xtian" is a valid abbreviation "Xian" has diverse meanings in diverse religions, subsequently "Xtian" is extra precise for a talk board it fairly is meant for ALL religions. X is "chrys" it fairly is why "yule" is extra basic. FYI, Xtmas, mutually as much less properly-known, is the two valid. Edit: before everything, the abbreviation is "Chi-Rho". yes you spelled it right. I hardly ever use a real dictionary. I use dictionary.com or m-w.com. OR I type it into Microsoft word to see if that squiggly red line shows up or type it into my google tool bar.
