Drugs have a strong influence on a person. It takes only one time smoking crack or methamphetamine to get hooked for life. It takes a long time to get over it, just like smoking regular cigarettes. A person needs time and support to kick these kind of things.

I think you should keep on helping the person as much as possible in any way you can. You might see if the person will go to a local Teen Challenge outreach or some other reputable counseling service where the person can be professionally helped to kick the habit.

But know this, once hooked on any kind of drug, it takes much will power to give it up, even if it is legal alcohol or a pack of cigarettes. To cut the person off just because he/she goes back shows that you don't understand what is going on with a chemical dependence. You might try going to an AA meeting some time. It will open your eyes as to what is involved with addiction. No one can beat an addiction alone. They need all the help and support possible. Do what you can to help, or this person may not be able to go on alone.

Depends on how many times they relapse. The bad thing about being with a doper, is that most times, instead of you pulling them up, they pull you down. ..........
