Don't buy an Ipod...Had one and it broke in a year. Knowing me, I am REALLY careful with my stuff. Buy a Sandisk Sansa 2gb (500 songs based on 2.5 mb/song) or 4gb (1000 songs based on 2.5 mb/song). they got a nano-looking one w/ voice recorder and FM radio...the quality is amazing! www.dell.com (they sell it at the best price).

4gb ipod is better. Can store 1000 songs, photos etc. Has more storage and easy to carry. 2gb has less storage.
