If it were me i would wash it in the kitchen sink with Warm water. Make sure that the soap crystals are disolved before you put the top in . Wash gently stiring slightly with a wooden spoon to agitate gently!! Then rinse in cool water. I would then lay it on top of the dryer lid on a towel. Laying flat making sure there are no wrinkles!! Make sure you turn it over once the one side is dry

Wash in cold water by hand in sink.
What you will need:
-Woolite Cold Water Wash.
-White absorbant bath towel.

1. Add 1 capful of Woolite cold water wash to the sink and fill with water. As an alternative use 5 drops of a mild detergent (For example, cheap dishwashing detergent from the dollar store).
2. Gently swish with hand. DO NOT WRING OUT.
3. Drain sink.
4. Rinse clothing in cold water.DO NOT WRING OUT.
5. Place clothing item on the bath towel. Then roll up the bath towel. Squeeze the rolled towel in your hands. The item should now be damp.
6. Unroll the towel, remove the clothing item and dry flat.

Check the care tag first. But this sounds like either a hand washable or dry cleanable item. Use a solution of Woolite and cold water, then let it dry flat if you can in the bathroom. Otherwise check to see if you have a local dry cleaner that will do a good job for a reasonable price.
