is it possible that this email was sent out by another person, but not the seller? yes i still really want this item, but is there anyway to make sure that this email was sent by the owner of this item?

It Depends? A lot of people on Ebay use there friends accounts or someone they know will bid the item up to whatever amount they want to see if you will outbid them! Shill bidding is what this is and its an illegal practice on Ebay. I would be careful, if you really want the item, I would email the person back and state you will buy it for highest bid! Maybe he'll take if not I would tell him to pack sand!! Hope this helps..

Sometimes the seller has a second item and will offer it as '2nd chance'. If you have any questions about this offer, look up the seller's feedback. It can tell you volumes. Also, sometimes the additional items will come up later on that (or other) sites. (Some items, especially from China, can be other than as described in English.) Only you can decide if the item is worth the sale price - and shipping! - is worth it to you. Very best wishes and happy bidding!
