I have never put down another mans Country of origin. I was in 'Nam through two tours and met many men, and some women, from many other Countries. We were all serving our Government personally, not necessarily fighting for their freedom because their freedom was not an issue, there was no "need" to fight over it, but instead fought for "our Government" whom asked us to go.
I was left off at a terminal, in Texas with a civilian (we all were) clothes and told to tell no one where we came from, some did and some got heckled. I saw one fight and a man was almost killed, if not for the cops, two were ex Marines, he would have been tossed in jail. so, were not always "good" here either. I had relatives that wouldn't talk to me. That's the way it is. Now that were to old to care, they want us to have parades, well, they're over for me now, I'm done.

It is always good to brag about your country and it really gets tired after a while to read or hear about people in foreign countries bashing the USA and half of these countries always come crying and begging for the USA
to help them in case of a very serious natural disaster. One of these days, I hope the USA tells all foreigners to butt off and let everyone live their own life and don't
bother coming here for a vacation or a long visit.

Having pride for your country is an admirable thing, no matter what country that might be. If you are a true patriot of your country then kudos to you and congratulations, just ignore other people's opinions.

For the very same reason that people of foreign (non-American) countries speak ill of the United States: it's called "national pride", and unfortunately it takes the form of insulting other countries that have different ideologies because they aren't the same as yours.

It's called nationalism. It's the same reason why the British and the Irish don't get along to this day. And not all Americans are like that.

Because pride runs deep in any country. If ur from britian you guys out down the french and if ur fron france u put down britian.
And america helps many countries stay afloat and out of trouble with our protection which kinda of makes us their big brother, kinda of gives us the right don't u think.
