It just sounds like a pathetic attempt to make others dislike him, and it's very childish.

Unfortuantely its because that the way political opponents do business these days. The sad thing is that there are gullible fools who will buy into whatever lies are being spewed about Obama. Anything for an edge.

I just read his Book. "The Audacity of Hope" very good book. He is 20 times smarter than Bush and Cheney added. He is also a very great writer. He will sell millions of that book. Look at it this way. The republicans gave Hillary and Bill nothing but hatred and both of them are now worth millions. They hated them with every fiber of being. The Republicans always hate those that are 20 times smarter than they are. Obama will go a long way if they keep it up.
As far as being President, he lacks Hillarys Money and power. Edwards will be the VP since that will give Democrats * years in the White House in 2008. I am guessing Obama has already been offered a adminstration job with Hillary in 2008 and VP in 2012. BTW, Republicans have no problem with being childish. Look at how they treated Chelsi Clinton, she now makes $250,000 per year.

You are complaining because people call him by his true middle name. I do not like my middle name either, but I do not consider it making me sound bad. With all the ugly names that President Bush gets called, that should be the least of Obama's problems. You are reaching for problems, worry about his voting record or lack of experience.

People put a lot of stock in a name. It's not fair but that's the way it is. In Illinois a man with the last name of Ryan ran against our current governor when he first ran, and lost the race (I think) because of his name. We had just got rid of George Ryan, a criminal governor. A lot of people just couldn't get past the name.

They did the same thing to Michael Dukakis in 1988. They said the name "Dukakis" didn't sound American enough.

It is worse than pathetic, it's an indication of debilitating ignorance. Even some children know that a name doesn't define a person. Just be sure that the idiots who do this are afraid of him and this is the childish way they deal with their fear.

I've hear far more people complaining about his middle name being used against him than I've heard actually using it against him. Most of his opponents are more concerned about his stand on issues.

Probably because they are so ignorant to the origin and meaning of the name, and because he is half black, and because he has more than a 4th grade education. This guy is going places. He has wonderful ideas, is not afraid of the whole Washington DC "cliche" syndrome and unlike GWB, can actually speak the English language.
