If the packet you want send is about 5 pounds it`s gonna cust around 40 dollares but only if you send by United State Post Office and gonna takes about 4 or 10 days to arrive there...if you send by FEDEX or whatever...the same packet gonna cust 2 or 3 times more. I sent a packet to my daughter two weeks ago and I have been compared the prices, uspo was the best price I find.
(I`m sorry my english is not good yet but just try give you some help)

You can ship a flag thru the mail system or by international courier like Fedex, etc. If you weight the flag and packaging you can check on shipping cost thru the US Postal Service website. You will need to do a customs declairation that to PO will help you with. You can choose international parcel post or other service.

If it is small enough put it in a bubble envelope. It will get there faster. There is no problem sending a flag though if that is your concern. I live in the Amazon and boxes get there within 2-5 months. Envelopes get there sometimes within 2 weeks through normal USPS. Good Luck.

You have a couple of good answers here already, so just for fun, on the subject of flags ... you could throw in a lapel pin of "twinned" Brazilian/American flags. I got one at an Army/Navy surplus store.
