when you turn on my laptop the screen shows only a quarter of the screen what is the possible problem with this?

Check the screen resolution. Right click anywhere on the Desktop and select Properties from the menu. In the Properties window go to the Settings tab. There will be a slide bar center left that allows you to increase and decrease how much your computer displays on the screen.

do you mean that only a quarter of the screen is working - if so this sounds like a hardware fault and in my experience will be expensive to fix - usualy the matrix of hundreds of wires that feed the screen has become faulty

If you mean that all of the windows desktop is condensed to a quarter of the screen then it sounds like a software problem involving resolution and or corrupted drivers

justt try to restart your laptop from way begginning

or

you might have a virus

or

it might be that you uised your laptops for a long time
the ink for your screen. yeshh there are just thingss
is runnign out
because that's what also happens to Tv.. so the color chnagess and stuff
you should go to a computer shop to fund out what's really wrong
or get a neww one if the computer person can'tr fix it//

resolution,control panel,display settings.u can ajust the pixels there
