Im going to Florida in may for the first time and i want to buy a good guide book and map anyone got any suggestions.

the link above will take you to the disney site where you can order free maps that allow you to customize them, they are not the maps you get in the parks, they are much nicer.

No need to buy any.
Have a look in the ones in any book shop.
Look on Internet, loads of sites.
You will get more books and guides than you need free in Florida.
Enjoy, it is the best place in the world.

Depending on what you want to do,at all hotels and at the car pick up points at the airport there are many leaflets with maps and things to do and see,if looking for anything but theme parks try the internet for unusual things to do in florida.
Try kennedy space station,Miami,Titisville,Missasukee indian village near Miami.N ature trails and air boat rides are good for relaxing.For a night out try Dolly Partons dinner show,go down and book yourself in and choose the seats you want.
If you are going to a theme park I find Disney to be the best.
If you are going out and about always keep a map in the car,believe me it does come in useful.
Download usual tourist info from the net.
