They're a team that can surprise people. They've already beaten the Pats in Gillette, so everyone should expect a good game.
Mangini has a lot of trick plays up his sleeve, which could result into some amazing plays. Pennington may not have a strong arm, but he doesn't need one as long as he is completing passes. Cedric Houston needs to pound the ball for about an average of 4 yards so he can set up Pennington's 1st down passes.
On the defense, the secondary should have a little bit of an advantage. Brady doesn't have Branch anymore, which means there aren't that many reliable receivers. The only thing I'm afraid of as a Jets fan is Brady handing it off to either Maroney, who can sprint for a 15-yard gain, or Dillon who could just plow through and get a 1st down on 3rd (or 4th) and short.
This will be a hard fought game, and although the Pats are favored, the Jets should make it a game for all 60 minutes. But if the Jets have the lead late in the game, expect them to finish things up and hold off the Pats, just like last time.

I have been a Jets fan for a very long time. In fact, I got to meet Joe Namath back in November. Even during the 1996 season when the Jets were 1-15, I was still a fan. Personally, I think they would have done better had it not have been for Neil O'Donnell's injury. We could have been Super Bowl Champions in 1998 when we were 12-4, if we could have beaten Denver. We could have made another run at it in 1999 had it not been for Testaverde's injury. I know we could have been contenders as soon as 2004. We could have as well as should have beaten the Steelers. Any Jets fan who saw that game would tell you as well. We got so close that after the game, Curtis Martin said that he felt sick. That was how close we were. This year, we came real close to beating the Colts. I think we made a statement to them and the rest of the league. In the 2002 playoffs when we won the AFC east, we beat the Colts 41-0. The Jets may shock more fans in the playoffs. We shocked them during the regular season that is for sure. 10-6 IN YOUR FACE!!!

New York Jets are a fairly good team. Chad Pennington is inconsistent at times and this may be the downfall of the team. The rushing game seems to be pretty good seeing how they have three capable backs, and if two are strugglin, the third is bound to make something happen. Their defense is average but I don't know much about their defense though. May be above average, I don't know.

They had a good year. they might get passed new england but that will be as far as they go. But the future looks good for them. New coach mangini has put this team in the right direction. If they keep it up, and have a few good drafts I predict a superbowl within the next 3 yrs.

They are the best team no one is talking about.
And considering they were picked to be the worst team in the NFL at the start of the season, it's been a great run.

As a NFL fan, i could decide on the Giants actual over the Jets. whilst the Jets are a reliable opponent, and oftentimes make it to a minimum of the 1st around of the NFL playoffs, the Giants basically seem a miles extra helpful team usual. The Giants have an incredible head coach - Tom Coughlin - alongside with a experienced QB - Eli Manning. One basically has to look lower back on the final 2 Superbowls the Giants performed in. They performed a similar team two times, the Patriots, and nevertheless controlled to triumph over them, even while the Patriots have been undefeated, going into the huge interest. ideal now, the Jets seem perplexed as to who their beginning QB is going to be. at some point it variety of feels to be Mark Sanchez, the subsequent...who knows? in the process the 2013 NFL draft, the Jets drafted a QB. heavily? They have already got countless.
