People write about Dragons,Witches,Dwarfs etc. but who would have thought of them it couldn't just have came to them like "Ooh I just thought of an reptile with scales, wings, and breath fire!" some scientist say there really were animals and humans with special powers and some say they're just apart of our imagination. I believe in these creatures do you? Could they be hiding underground in a magical layer of the earth the scientist overlooked, or our computers aren't smart enough to find? Could they be in in the sky a magical kingdom we can't seem to see or find, its one of our worlds biggest mysterys.

I guess it depends on the degree of "magic" you invest in these creatures.

Most magical creatures that we think of today came from the ancient mythologies of various cultures... or from the imaginations of people like J.R.R. Tolkien.

Creatures from mythology were often built from storytelling... embellishing of real events and creatures. Dragons, for instance, might have arisen from the sighting of large lizards or possibly the remains of dinosaurs that ancients discovered. Stories embellished the traits of the creatures until they became lore. Lore gave them magical, unreal or mis-understood powers... and they became fantasy.

...Sea monsters might have arisen from sightings of giant squids, misunderstanding of whales, and tales told to teach children the moral lessons of that culture.

I believe that there are things that science cannot currently explain. I believe in possibilities.
I believe that many things we currently discount have their roots in reality.
But I also believe in the power of imagination and the ability of creative minds to generate original images that appeal to us so much that we dearly wish them to be real.
I also believe, but choose not to explain, that reality is not real.

Some scientists think that in the cases of like dragons that people were seeing what possibly might've been dinosaurs that somehow managed to survive. It's an interesting theory, but at the same time it's one that might hold some truth to it. Then again people mistook some animals for something they really weren't. Most mythical creatures were created from misunderstandings and people seeing things that weren't actually there.

As for witches there are still people who believe in that and black magic. It was started though when people couldn't explain things so they pinpointed it on people they thought were witches. There are also some beliefs that wiccans were amongst those that were considered witches. I believe at the time people were afraid of those who were using like herbs and such for healing and they automatically labeled it witchcraft.

As for dwarfs and I mean no offence to anyone when I say this, but they do exist. It's just the term for people who aren't what is considered to be a normal height, and yes there is a difference between midgets and dwarfs. Again no offense to those who might be like this.

Is it possible the mythical creatures existed, maybe but I highly doubt it. There have been many logical explainations to what people thought existed. Yeah I'm willing to have an open mind about some things, but most if not all of these creatures that are considered mythical are too farfetched to even be considered real.

I believe in some. Dragons were mentioned in the Bible at one point but I think they are extinct now. There may be a few left in the mountains. They are beautiful whether they are real or not!

well, if its impossible for us to find them, then sure, they could exhist, but im gonna say its a safe bet that they dont. where do the images for what the "monster under the bed" come from? its all strait out of your imagination. you could probably genetically engineer a lizard to fly or a horse to grow a horn, but i dont think you'll find any magical powers amongst any of them.

Oh, yes, definitely! Our Modern Tech can't do everything, I am sure of that. There has to be SOMETHING humankind doesn't know everything about. Nice to know that there is another wacko like me out there, dreaming about magical creatures!

oh yes...how do you think people thought of them in the first place? But you will never find them if you look, if they want to be known they will come to you.

Well, I believe they are real, of course they are almost extinct. But, then I believe they aren't real. I don't know.

i believe that they are alive in heaven but our subconcious mind remembers them, and only passes them off as too ridiculous to be true.
