There is a cookie for every occasion. That is the thesis of an essay I have always wanted to write. (And, I fully believe it.)
For example:
Elegant - Shortbread with Jam
Festive - Orange Bells (With a Marachino Cherry at the bottom)
Yule/Christmas - Sour Cream Bears (with red or green sugar vest)
Decadent - Chocolate Rum Balls (or Brandy or Kaluah)
Healthy - Oatmeal Raisin
Depression - Double Chocolate with Dark Chocolate Chips
The Blues - Warm Chocolate Chip
Birthday party - Peanut Butter (made with chunky peanut butter of course)
Please tell me your favorite cookie, and the occasion that you think it is most appropriate. Let's have fun with this!

I love magic cookie bars. I think of them as spontaneous cookies - maybe I would categorize them as uplifting cookies because of it or indulgence because of the multiple ingredients.Interesting essay topic!
Magic cookie bars
1/2 cup butter, melted
1-1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
14 ounce can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
3-1/2 ounce can flaked coconut
1 cup pecans, chopped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 9X13 baking pan, pour melted butter. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter then pour sweetened condensed milk over the crumbs. Top with remaining ingredients. Bake 25 minutes. Cool. Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours. Cut into bars.

i don't really like cookies they have way to much sugar and make my stomache hurt but oatmeal cookies are okay
