ok, when i was young i watched a really odd sci fi film where a crew where in space on a craft which had...domes containing different gardens...one guy was an ecological freak and didn't want to jettison the gardens which was required of the crew so they could return home. So he killed the rest of the crew who tried to "eject the domes"...there was a bunch of little robots that were like the "gonk" bots in star wars...it ended up with him blowing up the space ship...anyone have a clue what the film was called?

A great film! Its called Silent Running and was made in about 1972 I think. The robots were Huey Dewey & Louy after Donald Ducks nephews.

How about this one?
Saturn 5This film deals with the advent of robot intelligence and its introduction by a rouge scientist onto a hydroponics farm on one of Saturn's moons ( not suprisingly the 5th one ). The settings and effects are passable and the performances by the farm's operators ( Kirk Douglas and Farrah Fawcett ) are okay. The film itself is unusual and is definitely in the Sci-fi horror catagory. The spce craft designs and glimpses of earth culture are very good.Worth watching.

"Silent Running," with Bruce Dern. Directed, I believe, by Douglass Trumbull, who was responsible for the special effects on Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey."

Think it was 2001 space odessy, Bruce Dern was the guy who went off his rocker and killed the rest of the crew.
