no one really knows, his murder was just a crazy fan who was not locked away sooner. John Lennon was a good man and its a shame to have lost him so tragically

He was killed by a guy who would live his life and not amount to anything in the end. I know I'm not going to be a super hero or a rich guy and I'm ok with that. I think when he realized this he wanted to be in the spotlight by doing something he would be remembered for.

No one really knows. Even the guy who did it probably doesn't know why. The term "nut case" gets way overused, but is quite an accurate description of Mr. Chapman.

Chapman was obsessed with him and forever wanted his name to be linked with Lennon's
in his sick mind killing him was a way to achieve that goal
