yes i feel that way now because in the past 10 years i have been engaged 3 times, i am 24 turn 25 in april and
my first engagment was through the mail he was in the army and i could not deal with the long relationship so i dumped him and the second engagement was at a christmas party he had the dy ask me and we dated for 7-8 yrs and broke up every 2 years since he could never keep a job always drank and the last time we broke up i met a guy we dated for 2 months and were engaged and we have a kid together and he left me so i went back to my ex of 7-8 yrs and i had to kick him out again due to the same reasons so i am feelling like there is not 1 good man out there who will marry me or accept that i am a single parent since my daughters father wants nothing to do with us so help me what is a single girl to do???

yes we ll go through that and the reason why is because we see all these great love affairs on Tv and all these wonderful love stories, and we expect the same thing in life...They talk aout bells going off,and going across the ocean to get to that special one, they really make it look great....Life is not like that, some think it is but there is a lot of drama queens out there...There is no one perfect,,,,,,,,,,,,One person cant tick all the boxes,,,,and one person can,t complete everything for you...Get outta the clouds and come down to earth.................

No one completes everything. Any time you have that kind of expectation of another person, you will inevitably be disappointed. Pick the things that are most important to you (sense of humor, honesty, good communication skills, loves the outdoors, tall, whatever it is) and focus on those. Learn to let go of other expectations and be happy. Don't ever put someone in place to "complete everything" for you. That's your job sweetie.

I thought I found him once too, but that was five years ago and I am still looking. Right now the outlook seems down right grim. Everyone keeps telling me I will find someone, but they say I am too picky.

I wonder that all the time - I thought I found him but no such luck! Everybody seems to tell me to "lower" my ideals for the perfect other - but whats the point of settling and being unhappy?

I don't believe they exist I believe we need to be content with what we have, change our prospective of what we see as perfect, and be more accepting of other point of views, we all don't see the world the same or have the same beliefs

I thought I found him twice but the Lord took one away and the other won't go away. I have faith that He will present the right one for me one day.
