I'm not asking how many different days were shown in the movie, but how much time was spent reliving the same day. My guess is several years.

I would say at least over ten years....

I probably need to watch it again. Is there anywhere in the movie where they might drop a hint, like... "that'd never happen, not in a hundred years?"

Groundhog Day is definitely one of my all-time favorite movies. Very Buddhist in many ways.

"Groundhog Day" is one of my favorite movies. I have it in DVD.
To address your question:
Instead of days, I think Phil was stuck in the time loop for years, maybe centuries. I really can't give a precise figure. I think the story is intentionally vague on this point.
As Phil re-lives the same day over & over, he slowly learns from his mistakes, moves out of his self-centered world, makes many friends & earns the love & respect of everyone. He basically goes from being a total jerk to being a nice guy. He even wins the heart of the woman of his dreams. It usually takes years, not days, to bring about this kind of change in a person.
That's my take on it.

I actually just saw that movie. I'm guessing years. I'm not sure about 100 years, but I think it was a few. It is an awesome movie.
