No need for any special vaccinations. As for bullet-proof jackets the idiot that wrote that has not been there, at least recently!!
My partner and I go to Croatia regularly and have never had a problem- the people are polite and extremely friendly. the Police are rarely seen outside the major cities since there is little for them to do.
For reliable information on Croatian life see www.istra-zivot.com -
they also provide excellent holiday accomodation. This is a smallish company run by English ex-pats who have settled well into the way of life and will give you an excellent holiday for a reasonable price. For flights try Ryanair to Pula or Easyjet to Rijeka,
Hope this helps,
Tony and vikki

I've been there 3 times and of the 2 I came back sick. Avoid their mayonnes. The food in the Restaraunts are not great. If it don't look right don't eat it. If you got a weak stomach than take the medication. Some people are tougher than others. Awsome place for the Discos, hot youth and the water is prestine. YOu'll have a great time.

No!! Croatia is quite safe, no worries for your health. In fact the water here comes from some of the best underground natural springs in the world.

NO. I've been there and you don't need ant vaccinations and there's no need to bring a bullet proof vest, trust me. It's a healthy and safe place. Just don't spill a Croatians beer and you'll be fine

No - and you don't need a bullet proof vest either. Croatia is as safe as - or safer than - the uk.
