Does it have to do with bone structure? It's always fascinated me because, somehow, I can ALWAYS pick up on someone who is Asian, caucasian, African, etc.
I'm not talking about skin color here, I'm talking more about bone structure. I have seen plenty of asians who are white as milk but, it's weird.....I just somehow now they are "asian" and not "caucasian". Someone help me out? For example, I know it is a proven fact that almost ALL native americans have higher cheek bones.
Can facial structure make that big of an impact?

Err....to those taking this the wrong way, please don't. I was just curious as to if this is a physical difference or, perhaps, just a psychological and instinctual one we pick up on.

Yes it can. So does hair texture and other common features of different races. Many African-americans are very light-skinned and may have the same skin color as a hispanic person, but you can tell they are not hispanic from bone structure, hair texture, etc. Race is more then simply skin color...it's common physical characteristics. But, the important thing is that we're all people.

There are two filters to distinguish facial structural points.
One is that people pray to GOD, for interesting, attractive
faces. The smile being the window of the soul. Then there is
cosmetics that we call how do we treat ourselves. Traditions
is a real interactive area that must be guided by good decisions. http://www.tribalnews.com

Um sorry but this isn't a poll. This should have gone under Society and Culture.
People from other races look different, it isn't surprising. People in the SAME race look different! I don't understand why people care so much to know a person's race or nationality. We're all part of the human race so why does it matter?

Eskimos in alaska and canda have large fat deposits under their eyes, and huge cheek bones, in addition they have larger eye lashes, all to keep the wind and stuff out of their, asians are smaller cause they do so much worked so much physicaly, it became genetic. selective breeding, not evolution, but addaptation. you addapt to your surroundings.

In human genetics you have what are called 'bottleneck' populations, where certain characteristics develop because of isolated gene pools.
