Hey Dude,
What kind of computer? How old?
Most newer computers will accept 1 of a few key sequences.
when you first turn it on, press ESC. If that gets you to the windows boot, that was not correct, try the following other keys sequences.
F1
F2
F10
F12
delete

When the PC boots up press and hold the "F8" function key.
This must be done while the machine is running through "Post"
It will be a Black DOS type of screen that usually only shows up for a very brief time before Windows loads. There should also be a line of text that refers to "System Setup" and Function key associated with it.
Hope that helps!!

whenever the computer starts, the first screen shows the key to enter the BIOS or the system setup.
It depends on system to system,
it is most likely the F* key, i.e. the F2, F8, F10, F12, etc.
It could also be the Esc or the Del key.

The BIOS can normally be accessed when you start your computer. You may see a reference to "Setup" when you turn your computer on. That’s your opportunity to get into the BIOS. It usually requires the push of a function key, such as F10, to get access to it. That "F" key varies between computers. Sometimes it’s not even one of the Function keys, but the ESC key or DEL key.

When your computer reboots, look for a message like "Press F1 to Enter Setup" to get to your BIOS Setup.
