How about Harry from Paree! We had a gray and white Persian named Toulouse Lautrec.

It may be that he wouldn't know anyway; whether you change his name or not. Unless he's an older cat who grew to learn his name...the sound of it, at least...he may never have known what he was called.
But if you feel you must..how about Charris, Alaris, Fryss, Daryss, or Dariss, Mister,(okay, doesn't technically count as rhyming with Paris, but ...) Variss, Aryss, Afriss, Amis,Wisswiss, (it doesn't have to sound exactly like Paris..just close)
Bliss (again, see above)
here's another tip: When you call his name...change the sound of your voice slightly. Use a tone somewhat lower than you normally speak, or somewhat higher...that alone will have him noticing that you're trying to communicate with him. You don't have to keep this up indefinitely, just while he's learning that you want to call him by name.
Good luck with your new cat!

I sort of like the name Paris. However, he sounds much like a cat our daughter's family has and his name is Cheech. Paris/Cheech ... hmmmm .... not sure that would work ... I think you can actually add anything to the beginning or the end of his name and he will get used to it if you use the right tone of voice. We have had dogs who responded to almost any word we called them if we used a "calling" tone. We adopted a dog whose name was Jake but we called him Lucky. He responded almost immediately to the new name. Paris will get used to a new name just as he will get used to a new owner.

A good strong name would be Rhys ( you can pronounce it rees or ris) its Welsh and different. also if you want to know the truth you can change his name to anything you want. People adopt found animals all the time and give them new names and in a few days they readily respond to the new name as if they knew it all their life. Use the new name in conjunction with feeding or petting.

Alaris - Actually a name of a medical device company but what the heck. It has a nice ring to it and your new companion will be the only cat in the neighborhood with that name :-).

Screw it, cats don't come to their names anyways, sometimes I just randomly call my cat other names besides her own (as long as I say it in a high pitched voice) and she'll look at me. Her name is Foxy, and just RIGHT NOW, I said "Buttface" in a high pitched voice, and I swear to you, she looked up at me. Name the cat anything you want, just try to stay with the same number of syllables.

If you want a name that rhymes with Paris - how about
Grintingfrecklewooshtymarningflumixgrannoxmarris ?
Huh?
Watch yer fink?
Mmmmm?
And when Grintingfrecklewooshtymarningflumixgrannoxmarris has gone outside to do a pooh and it starts to rain you can call him in.
"Yoo hoo Grintingfrecklewooshtymarningflumixgrannoxmarris"
Mind you, his name tag wouldn't half be heavy - and he would have trouble getting through the door, let alone a cat flap.
But it DOES rhyme with Paris . . . . . .
