yes, whenever you reformat your computer, the hibernation feature is disabled by default. Go into control panel > power options. Goto the last tab, called hibernate, and make sure hibernation is checked (enabled).

On the desktop, right click and select properties. Go tot he screensaver tab, and select Power...

here you will find the options for hibernation. Hope that helps.
