well i think that its about a person that wants a lot of things and they have a friend or somthing that says you dont have to be that way and you are gonna regret it if you act like a snob but that is just what i think

I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation and the only explanation I can find is the love that I've found ever since you've been around

I think its about a woman who is reflecting on her husband/boyfriend, and how she is so amazed by his love and beauty. She's "on top of the world" because his love puts her there.

If you're referring to "Top of the World" by the Carpenters, it's a very cheesy love song from the '70s.
