According to them, all Muslims are terrorists. As far as the select few out of them is concerned, only Muslims can be terrorists. Many even as far as stating that the end of terrorism would come only with the wiping out of the Middle East and all it's inhabitants, non-Muslim omitted. So my question is, concerning people with this mindset, what is their purpose for supporting the War in Iraq? Agreed with or disagreed with, the war is meant for the betterment of Iraqi life. And since Iraq is predominately, if not totally Muslim, you're supporting the betterment, not end of mass Muslim lives.

I believe your question and conclusions are based on a false premise - or, at best, an extremely tiny percentage of nut bags who don't deserve any debate.

How could anyone with the attributes you describe be for a war that has the objective of establishing a Muslim democracy?

If we consider the terrorists as the far extreme in one direction, the people you describe are the far extreme in the other direction.
Neither group is worth discussing their whacked out, demented agendas and beliefs.

The people that are as you call them anti-Muslim extremists are this way for several reasons. Osama bin laden and Alquida have vowed as has the president of Iran to completely wipe out the western world including Israel. With enemies like this, what is one supposed to think? Muslims have been largely silent and have not done much to promote peace or get rid of these ideals. They hide the terrorists and give a wink of approval by not rooting out these people. When the president of Iran and the religious heads of Iran proclaim that they want all of western civilization dead we must assume that is the intention of the country of Iran. We went to Iraq to get rid of Saddam and help them change their govt. And to prove your point, this whole thing would have been over if it were not for the terrorists that have come in from Iran and Syria etc. If it escalates to the point where the entire Muslim population wants us dead, then yes, we would possibly have to take out the entire middle east. It really is up to the terrorists and other Muslims to rectify the problem.

Wrong. Not all Muslim are terrorists. But a significant number of them are, and they have no room in their idea of what the world should be for anyone who isn't of their view. The proof is available.

My thoughts on this war are along the lines that it is for the betterment of the majority of the world, particularly western civilization. If one pays close attention to the language used by Iranian leaders and the leadership of other rogue ME nations, a pattern emerges. A pattern that is inclusive of , but not limited to the destruction of Israel, The UK, America and any other western entity that might stand against radical Islam.

No, not all Muslim are terrorists, but if only 10% are to be considered radicals, that number is sufficient in my opinion to take a proactive stance in dealing with the coming threat. If this includes using Iraq as a forward base in future dealings with Iran, so be it. I am comfortable with that premise.

Iraq and neighboring nations will likely benefit greatly from free, democratic societies, so assisting Iraq is not a problematic issue for me.

There may be some people who think all Muslims are terrorists, but I have never met one. The idea is to improve the lives of Iraqis and hope that the ideas and new type of government which has worked for them will help other countries in that region for all the people of the Middle East to have a better life.
