It took the aryans 500 years to conquer india. While doing so, thousands of communities hid in the highlands and mountains for at least 2 generations, to escape. While they were migrating, the Aryans created a caste system, to "organize" different religious and economice factions. The "bhramins" being the highest. As years progressed, the communities who escaped came back and realized there was no place for them, therefore society kept them on the bottom. Also, the new lower caste even looked different from the rest because they were not "mixed" with the Aryans, who were also germans. They were very dark, while everyone looked mixed. That also contributed to their "lower caste" status.

According to socio-historical theory, the caste system began with the arrival of the Aryans in India. The Aryans arrived in India around 500 B. C. (some claim a much earlier date).
