His gentleness and gentle manliness. He was always so polite to Miss Kitty and everyone that wasn't a bad guy. But even when dealing with bad guys he had a way about him that you knew things would be okay as he didn't always need to use his gun to get his point across - his voice and demeanour did that for him.

Miss them all - great show. Thanks for letting me go down memory lane.

A tough but fair lawman, Matt Dillon cared about the people of Dodge City. He listened when others were speaking. And always tried to help solve any problems that arose.

I think that Matt Dillon was a fair and honest lawman.He believed in treating people with respect and was polite also.We would be a lot better off if all of our law officers acted as he did.Honesty and integrity can not be bought,it is earned.

He was honest, straight up and dedicated to his job as sheriff. He may have had a few drinks with miss Kitty, but that was all. He always went after the bad guy, and was always a friend to the town people.

He was a good honest man with plenty of integrity. I even named my son Mathew and we call him Matt too.
