thanks for pointing out my spelling errors, which are, ummmm, what.
ppl is a rather common short-cut for typing "people"
to rephrase the "?"....pardon, i mean question: there are Y/A participants who ask really stupid questions for the sake of trying to convince us they are ACTUALLY stupid. many are unable to effectively accomplish that. does that make them genuinely stupid, or are they merely unimaginative?

Well, you passed the test for being stupid. Take a look at the way you worded your question and the spelling.
As someone else who answered your question pointed out, there may be a hearing problem involved. I do have a hearing problem and I've come close to slapping those who called me stupid. I loved the look on their faces when they discovered my problem.

You know sometimes people who you think are "playing stupid" actually have a hearing problem. People with hearing problems have problems trying to figure out what is being said and often say things that sound "stupid". Just consider that sometimes people who seem stupid have another reason for lseemng that way.
