Cable internet goes through the TV cable.

You still need a phone with broadband but it doesn't use the line its run through a cable they just like you to have the phone for billing but you dont need to have the cable tv though

no you cant but there are wireless providers without all the cables.Even the cable networks need an ISP phone line.

Get a mobile broadband. it's offered by all telecom companies. 3G connection are decent. What you're talking about is called Naked DSL. it can't be installed in all houses. a certain setup is needed

you don't say where you are,
some of the barges on the canal where I live in Yorkshire don't have land lines or cable, so have to go completely wireless they use

Yes. they give you al ittle wireless box thingy a bit like a satellite dish only much smaller.
Reception can be erratic though.
