I see yin / yang. (duality)

The idea being that everything in nature is made up of both black and white qualities. It's about balance - and I don't think it naturally concludes that 'grey' is the result.

I believe that we are all striving for balance. So a little black and white are both necessary for survival. But this does not equate to grey - as black and white exist in their own right.

Yin and Yang compliment each other, just as feminine and masculine compliment one another and strike a balance in nature. To have a complete domination of one over the other would not be good as it would represent imbalance. A little of both is necessary.

I don't believe in grey - just balance!

Of course there are tons of shades of gray.

One of the psychosis that I see in people who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction is that they see the world in up OR down, left OR right.. in other words, Black OR White.

This does not mean that there are not absolutes. Rather, the absolutes tend to mingle in a way that create moral ambiguity. For instance, killing other people is wrong, but then again, so is allowing yourself (or anyone else) to live under a wicked government. Hence, war becomes a solid example of ambiguity.

Sadly, the current crop of war protesters pronounce their talking points as moral absolutes, and don't wish to discuss the ambiguities. And, this crop doesn't even have good music nor the imagination to create new fashions.

But I digress....

And, I'm pretty sure that black people have a real problem with your association of all things black as being evil. Just saying...

Like my politics, many things are black and white - especially in the raising of my children and certain views I hold. However, I acknowledge that the majority of things in the world require use of grays.

I cannot say how I would act in a certain situation because I don't have the experience of the event. Things are not always yes or no, this way or that. Black or white.

I see everything in shades of gray. There is no right or wrong. If I was to steal money from someone, most people would call it wrong. However, If the person was a greedy rich casino owner and I had a starving family. I used the money for food, it would be right. What something is to one person is different to another.

I see in color, the only black and white issues are really just other names for right and wrong. Shades of gray is a term for lawyers to debate

Personally, I see everything in varying shades of gray. I don't see anything in black and white.

To me, nothing, by which I mean no act and no person, stands alone. Everything is tied into a web where things connect, overlap, and influence one another. That's why I see shades of gray instead of just black and white. I feel that my way of looking at things allows me to see, among other things, cause and effect, and that it also allows me to see things more clearly. The ability to see cause and effect allows me to process information more accurately, and I feel I see things in a much more realistic way than someone who only sees things as either good or bad, with nothing in between.

well not really, but one time my teacher had us watch Andy Griffith and I didn't even notice that it was just in Black and White. I thought it was in color. Also, I went to elementary shcool with a girl and she was white but acted like she was black and so I never noticed she wasn't until I got into middle school.
