NO . Heat from a CD burner obviously cannot be regulated
at least not without the proper software. Special third party
software , such as CD Toast or Toaster v.3 lets you to toast
anything that will fit into the CD drive . You can use at the warm
setting or crank it up for a crisp golden brown .
You may want to cut your poptarts in half ...
I use mine to toast single slices of bread while sitting at the computer . WARNING-never ,ever prebutter your bread before
inserting it into the CD slot. Butter is very difficult to remove, believe me.
I haven't burned a CD since I started using Toaster v3 software.

It won't make it warm and it just tears up the poptart and the dvd drive.

Hey why don't you try this: Go get a ladder and climb up on top of your roof and place your pop tarts on the roof and then get down and go stand in the middle of your street and place your ladder in the middle of the street and climb to the top ,and then cover your brow and make a puzzled face and then say to the next car that drives by if they wouldn't mind climbing up the ladder to see if they think they are done!

No, toast is made from bread. You can stick poptarts anywhere you want to and they will still be poptarts.
DVD players also don't toast anything.
