Ok, I am looking at this AMD processor at tiger direct,its a
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 2.40GHz, and what i want to know is if each processor is 2.40GHz or if its 2.4GHz together...

(and i dont want to hear about how this processor sucks or how intel is better or any of that crap)

Each is 2.4Ghz and together is also 2.4Ghz.

Think about 2 cars driving down the road at 60mph. Each car can hold a certain amount of people before it slows down. If you split the people between the cars, you can continue to go 60mph with more people. You are still driving 60mph - not 120mph.

Cars=CPU cores
People=Processes/Applications

Hope my analogy helps. BTW, I use the x2 myself. It kicks butt!

its 2.4 together.. but the 2 proccesors will work in assistance for more perfomance as if u had a 2*2.4Ghz

it is 2.4ghz together but it has two processor to work with
also intel sucks :D
