I still have all mine... for multiple reasons, it to expensive to replace them all, the have nostalgia and maybe one day they will be worth something.. just like 8 track players. If you really want to get rid of them besides selling them in a garage sale, donate them to your local hospital or goodwill.

The fact that we are living and breathing and able to do all these things. The fact that we are not rocks and some divine coincidence made use who we are instead of some inorganic atom. The fact we can give things worth. We can categorise. Its all beautiful, the sight, the sound, the feel, the emotion, the taste. Even pain. We can feel that not many other things can. Pain may be painful, but we can feel it just as we can feel happy. Its amazing really that out of all of this we can do these things. Although it seems to suck sometimes its still wonderful. random fact: if you shoot a rabbit, it doesnt know why it feels pain, it doesn't register that there is an explanation, it just knows it feels pain and as a reaction will run away, even if its dying. Shoot a human (even if they did not know what a gun was) it would realise its something launched, have some sort or knowledge of what to do and so on. I dont think this was relevant but its written now... But if youre looking for one reason it would definitely be pie.

If you have anything worth money now, it would make more sense to sell now. Like old film, VHS tapes will degrade over time, especially if they are sitting in a warm humid environment. If your children are grown up and the tapes are 20+years old, they are not going to be the best quality for viewing.

Some movies may be worth selling as collectables. Full sets of movies (all sequels), or large collections (Disney) could be worth selling.

Individual movies that were very popular and re-released over time (much of Disney) won't be worth as much, simply because too much product is still available.

Harder to find movies will be worth more, of course.

Personally, I would make a list and cross-reference on ebay and google. See what people actually bid on, not what sellers want for the item. You could include the keyword "wanted" in a google search for individual titles as well.

They may be more valuable to your children as keepsakes.

I don't think they will be worth anything because technology updates all the time. But if you want to keep the movie around you could burn the movie onto a DVD with a seperate DVD recorder. They come with instructions of course, so look at them if you go that route.

I like this one. Well, it depends on your disison. If you haveint notised, Video Tapes are'nt really used anymore. Most people prefer DVD's now. My suggestion is that you
1. Keep them for uses later
2. Sell them on eBay.
3. Rip them onto DVD's.
or
4. Donate them.

Do you wish to save them because you want to view them 10 to 15 years from now? Then copy them in a DVD format. Then 15 years from now you will need to copy them once again in what ever format format that will be.

By the way, the next change in DVD is HD-DVD (High Definition DVD).

I guess it depends if they are limited edition and in good condition but it will take some time. I have a range of beautifully packaged videos that I tried to sell on ebay that costs hundreds and I couldn't give them away.

no.
some old stuff is worth money.
but not when stuff is outdated as VHS are.
but we still hold on to ours..we have tons..why throw them away, and have to buy the same movie again.
