I have 2 questions. Has Kevin Trudeau ever appeared on Oprah (for the book club or anything) and if someone says they have natural cures for things and tries to sell them are they just preying on society's hopes and are all con-men to a point.

Hi EManuel

As funny as it may seem the FDA and several other government agencies can regulate what news comes out of the main press. Kevins's book is very powerful. but they discredit him in the media because they can and wont stop until he stops talking.

The media cant say we have hundreds of methods to cure a cold or cancer because only a drug, surgery, or chemo can cure illness or disease (FDA has this law in place). That's the law and that is power!

I have helped people cure big diseases and there are many other healers in the world who do the same, but again the press is regulated on certain categories. Like anything in life you must do your own research and find out yourself. Everything has a spin story, but it's up to you to decide who to believe.

Best of health to you

No, you need medication, which is available over the counter. A pharmacist would be happy to point them out, I'm sure. Edit: If you tried the OTC and that didn't work (1 or 2% doesn't matter, really - the Rx is 4% and that doesn't always work) you most certainly need the Rx stuff - some forms of that fungus are resistant to some medications (which is why there are more than one medication). C'mon.... act responsibly towards yourself and others about it (because you'll keep re-infecting your GF, not to mention, go crazy with it yourself). Time to man up and see a doc. On the bright side, in a week your goods will be good as new. Good Luck ;)

No - absolutely not.

In fact, most AMA and FDA approved drugs started out as "natural and uncertified" remedies.

It takes longer for the government to catch up with the Alternatives than you realize...

The only thing that makes it seem ridiculous sometimes is that when a medication is taken in it's initial "natural" form, it has different effects on everyone... because the results have not been systematically proven and the side effects have not been isolated and minimized... so one person might have their cancer go into complete remission while another person just got a headache.

When you look at any herb, mineral, vitamin or therapy - the most important thing to look for is the words "peer reviewed" (not FDA approved). You have to do some research and see which research facilities have reviewed this product and it's effectiveness... not just take the companies word for it.

The FDA has really just become an extention of the lobbyists (rich, pushy people) and it has no idea what is truly safe and effective... If it did, then we would not have 1,237 pills for depression on the market instead of a few good counselors.

If you believe it is so, then it will be so. Fortunately I don't have to rely on beliefs to know that not all natural remedies are frauds. Its ok to question what people say, but not at the expense of common sense. There are good natural cures out there. Your general statement is an assumption of guilt. Do some research before you start pointing the finger at other people.

Most of the time, the word "cure" is a tip that someone is exaggerating or making false claims. It's a shame really because it causes people to doubt all "natural" products. The truth is that for some conditions, there are "natural" products that will help, but they're seldom, if ever, a true cure. Also, even such natural products act as drugs in the body. They should always be discussed with a doctor before trying them.

There are a lot of natural treatments and a few cures. Depending on how hard the sell is, that would be an indication of whether or not it is a scam.
