I am debating getting one of these systems to replace my PS2 and I just want to get some opinions of people who own each.

It depends on what kind of gamer r u. The Xbox 360 goes for the hardcore who want a good online play and a lot of FPSes. Microsoft has a lot of games coming out in 2007 and theyre already 8 million sold so ull find more people who have it. The wii is awesome. It's for people who r tired of the average game and want something new. Nintendo has tons of game developers thinking of new innovative games and this time they plan on having good third party support. They plan on have 67 titles by the end of March. The wii has already sold 3.18 million units and it just launched back in November 19th. The wii has tons of potential and can be the winner of the console war. Sony had the worst year of all time. First, theyre batteries in the laptops were blowing up and that made them lose 100s of millions of dollars and now theyre PS3 is a whole mess. It didnt have that many good games for the launch, the price tag says for itself, and even if u had the money, they're wouldnt be any available. They're were only 400,000 units in North America available. Game developers complain about the price to make a PS3 game so i dont know if theyre will be a huge game library like they're was with the ps2. But Sony is planning for the ps3 to have a life span of 10 years so by then, it may be cheaper to develop games and the ps3 itself would have gone done atlest 100 dollars. They're losing 112 dollars for every ps3 sold so i dont expect a price drop soon. Plus, 32 titles will be available for the ps3 by the end of April. That's not enough to make the customer happy. the reviews for the games r very poor except Resistance: Fall of Men and that's just a decent game. For now, i would get a 360 or a wii or both because the price of both is equal to 50 dollars more than the ps3. Or, id just wait one year because people say that u should look at a gaming console for one year and compare.

Well it depends on what your budget is... If money doesn't matter get a PS3 cause it can play some of your old PS2 games. Personally i would go with a Wii cause it is innovative. The Xbox 360 has lots of things you can do, but the catch is if you want any extras you'll have to pay for it ( Xbox Live, HD DVD player, Universal remote control, etc.) If you want graphics the PS3 launch titles don't use its full power but if you wait it'll be much better. Right now the PS3 and the Xbox 360 have similar graphics. The Wii doesn't have as good graphics but its game-play is way better. If you want more current games, classic games, have a tight budget, and if you don't care about graphics the Wii is for you. If your budget is not that tight, want good graphics, and a wide selection of games the Xbox 360 is for you. If you don't care how much it costs, want excellent graphics, want a Blu-ray player, a system that compliments your HDTV, want to play old games, and want a multi-media center the PS3 is for you. Buy a wii and see which of the two expensive ones comes out on top and get that later.
600$ is too much to spend on a console that hasn't established itself, neither Sony or Microsoft can guarantee you good games if their system doesn't get a big enough chunk of the market for game developers to be interested. While even if the Wii tanks it is still bound to receive it's obligatory share of 1st party games which are always fun.

Get a ps3. Go to http://video.google.com and type x-box 360 vs Wii vs ps3 on the search box at the top of the page, and check out some videos that might help you decide.

I would suggest hanging on to your PS2, as the PS3 is not fully backwards compatible with PSX and PS2 games.
Try the Wii for a whole new gaming experience if you're feeling bold. Plus, you have Virtual Console, which allows you to play every known Nintendo game on the planet (or at least the ones released in your area)
As for the X360, it's basically just a souped up XBOX, so nothing terribly exciting.
The ultimate choice is yours, but these are my suggestions.

I have a 360 and I still cant stop playing it. It is so much fun all the games. The PS3 is cool but it is too much money. It does have really cool features though. Like the Blu Ray compatibility. but i personally didn't really like it. The wii. didnt even get me started. I love it!!! I dont have it but i played it at EB games one time. not all the games are fun but it is awesome.

I would go for a Wii60 (a Wii and a 360).
You get the best of both worlds. Let's have a look.

well if u hve PS2 games tehn get PS3... u can stil;l play them..
ven if u didnt have PS2 i would still say go with PS3 its kinds like a bit of PS2... Wii, and Xbox
i played teh wii.... not all that great ... gets boring hurts ur back a lot!!!
The first time played i hurt my back and couldnt sleep beacuse it hurt too much
and teh wii also has horrible graphics..
teh PS3 is liek teh XBOx except better
so in conclusion... GET THE PS3!!!

I would prefer the wii because dude its a whole new experience because all the ps gamesystems are the same....with wii you can actually feel and decide what you want to do...and a lot more action...
